Explore picture books and the connections between art, storytelling, and music. Read in the galleries, illustrate stories, and make art inspired by classic picture books. Children’s book illustrators demonstrate how pictures bring stories to life. Children’s rock band The Cat’s Pajamas wow you with their melodies and antics in their performance Reading Rocks! The day ends with a lecture for older picture book lovers by Jerry Pinkney, the 2010 Caldecott Medal winner for The Lion and the Mouse.
